| Foote & Halfpenny Ltd is a firm of three directors comprising two fully qualified Chartered Surveyors and a highly experienced residential and commercial estate agent. A brief profile of the firm and each of the Directors is given below.
FOOTE & HALFPENNY LTD
The firm was started in February 1984 by David Foote and Nigel Halfpenny. It traded successfully for many years until Nigel Halfpenny had to retire following a car accident. In January 1994, the firm merged with the practices of David R. Bibby & Company and Davies and Wilcox Chartered Surveyors to form the company as it is today.
DAVID H. FOOTE BSc., FRICS
David is the director in charge of commercial valuations and surveys. Having qualified as a chartered surveyor in January 1983, David’s early experience in the commercial field was as an investment property surveyor in London. He returned to Swansea in the early 1980’s to join Cooke and Arkwright as a senior surveyor and then started the firm of Foote & Halfpenny in 1984. David is a resident of
Llanmorlais in Gower and has a keen interest in golf and Penclawdd RFC.
DAVID R. BIBBY
David is the director in charge of residential and commercial estate agency. He commenced work in the construction industry in 1966 joining Parkhurst Estate Agents in 1970. In 1973 he was made a partner and then started his own firm in 1980 under the style of David R. Bibby & Company. His firm merged with Foote & Halfpenny in January 1994. David has gained wide experience of property matters over the years with particular emphasis on residential sales. He is well known in the City being heavily involved in local Rugby as President of Swansea and District Rugby Union for 30 years.
DEREK S. WILCOX BSc., MRICS
Derek is the director in charge of residential valuations and surveys together with work associated with Expert Witness presentations and disputes. He started work in the surveying field in 1973 in Bridgend before leaving for college. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in March 1987. He worked in a local firm of chartered surveyors before leaving to start up the practice of Davies and Wilcox Chartered Surveyors in 1988. This firm increased its turnover year on year in the 6 years it traded before joining with Foote & Halfpenny in January 1994. Derek has gained a wide experience in technical matters and is a regular expert witness in Court proceedings. A resident of Llanelli, Derek’s hobbies include motor racing and veteran cars.
SUPPORT STAFF
The partners of Foote & Halfpenny have the benefit of an excellent support staff. Miss. Jannine Jones has been with the firm for over 20 years and works in the professional services department.
David Bibby’s assistant in the residential and commercial estate agency department is Mrs. Julie Williams who has obtained a wide experience in property and legal matters over the years. Julie is assisted by Mrs. Anne Thomas. The firm’s financial affairs are in the capable hands of Mrs. Jackie Wilcox. |
